On-site Machine Installation

Machine installation at your shop, company or educational institute by a SYIL professional.

· Newsroom

Correct machine installation is critical for accurate machining and maintaining reliability. That is why we are happy to inform you that we now offer you the safest, most effective ways for your machine’s installation and commissioning, anywhere in the United States.

Installation is the process of placing, positioning, building and connecting equipment in its proposed location. Commissioning is the start up of the CNC machine for the first time. It is when you run the machine and carry out tests to verify it is running as intended i.e. to SYIL's specifications.

Machine installation and commissioning is a key part of putting the machine into service. If installation and commissioning is carried out carefully using the correct procedures, it is an investment in the machine´s serviceability and reliability for its entire service life. All tasks carried out on the machines are recorded, delivered to the user and also filed for further reference if needed.

Machine installation

Every SYIL CNC machine is based on a mechatronics design. This means the machine is delivered to you ready for immediate use and there is no need to assemble it first. If you are experienced with CNC machine installations, you should be able to set-up your SYIL machines yourselves by following the instructions.

However whether you are experienced or not, a proper machine installation is critical to holding tight tolerances, longer tool life, and machine reliability. If your machine is not square or the bed has twist, this can affect your ballscrews, alignments and much more. So if you would like an experienced SYIL technician to install your machine or would like to request a quote please contact us and we will provide you with one.

Machine commissioning

Once the machine is installed, the next step is the acceptance of your new SYIL CNC machine. This is referred to as "commissioning". Commissioning is carried out to prove that the systems operate and perform to the design intent and specification. Again, if you are experienced, you can do this yourselves and reach out to us if you run into any issues or errors. We do recommend you hire a SYIL professional though. The professional offers thorough inspection, verification, calibration, and testing of your newly purchased machine, to insure problem free startup of working with your new SYIL machine.
